Planning Technician - Ottawa
As part of our growing Ottawa practice, we are currently seeking a Planning Technician. Working under the direction of our Planners, you will have the opportunity to work through planning projects from the conceptual stage through document preparation, subdivision, zoning, and presentation materials. You will demonstrate your ability to multi-task and display your strong communications, organization and interpersonal skills in a fast paced environment.
Along with a College Diploma, or related planning/drafting experience, you bring a minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting for municipal policy documents and land development projects including presentation drawings. Your skills will include:
- Data collection and compilation
- Report graphics and presentation panels
- Concept plans and subdivision drafting
- Site photography
- Air photo overlays
- Hand coloring and rendering
You have extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 2000i/2002 and Microsoft Office/Outlook. Experience with GIS and graphic programs are considered strong assets and should be identified including the specific software used.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
