Queen's Quay West Land Corporation

IBI Group is the development consultant to Queens Quay West Land Corporation (QQWLC) for its property on Queens Quay West between York and Simcoe Streets in the Harbourfront area of downtown Toronto. A large parking garage is located on the property and the site is currently planned for over 1 million sq.ft. of office space. QQWLC is seeking permission to add residential uses to the property in addition to the office uses currently permitted to enhance the property’s marketability. The site’s planning is complicated by the need to retain and screen the seven storey parking garage which provides much of the public recreational parking for the Harbourfront area. IBI Group has been providing comprehensive planning, design and traffic services to QQWLC, working closely with City staff and a community working committee. The changes to the existing Official Plan and Zoning permissions are expected to be considered by the City Council in late summer or early fall of 1998.
